Giving is easy, but  receiving is a little more challenging especially when it comes to self-love. Create your own rituals around whatever speaks to your heart, adding magic and mystery with candles music and food.

Make all that you can a meditation, from listening to your favorite music to preparing food infused with love. Indulge in the favorite parts of your original religion if you have no formal religious practice.

In addition to all the nurturing of those you love, nurture your body and spirit by taking time for yourself for yoga, meditation, and reflection. It is important for us to be aware of  and maintain balance in our lives.

The best way to practice loving kindness towards ourselves is to do so the way we did as children—by staying fully present, which is truly the real definition of meditation.
