Here in the West we think of yoga as a method to increase flexibility and balance, but Asana practice (the poses), is only one of the eight limbs of yoga. As we deepen our understanding of the practice we begin to realize that Yoga is more about meditation than movement. Meditation, Dhyana is the development of witnessing awareness which is what happens as we learn to sit in stillness and silence. Simply put, you increase your awareness in ALL ways.
Think about that for a minute.
Now take your attention to the one who is thinking.
There have been very big studies published in the past few years from major Universities and hospitals validating the profound improvements that occur in the body and mind.
Here at JoYo we offer the gold standard of meditation techniques as taught by Dr. Deepak Chopra which is the perfect combination of the ancient Vedic tradition and modern technology.
